Hmmm... I may have to get me another copy so we can start a US-version of this "chain book". In fact, I think we can do both Ghosts and Edge... Hmmm...

Due to copyright I somehow doubt that would be legal... Books fall in the same boat as a DVD movie: copying and distributing it without permission would be a crime...
Won't stop everyone though, but that doesn't mean it should be done or promoted on the GWguru forums... So I guess thats why we don't do it.

so remove these post, and P2P on a private server. its the same thing as you reading the book over my shoulder, just on a screen as a PDF. im sure they wouldnt appreciate you mailing the book from person to person. this is a saftey issue, what if one of you is a terrorist? honestly, the sooner you primeval noobs start learning that you cant control information/thought the sooner youll realize that energy = energy, the force is applyed weather digital or physical. would you rather Surrogate or Utopiate? the writer should be over joyed that i would consider reading his material. if its greed thats the main interest, perhaps he should better protect his works, scan-proof paper for example, or realesed as a PPV PDF?

If you haven't noticed yet, legal actions are being taken against private servers for many games (if the company can afford to do so, unlike ANET/NCSOFT due to low GW proffit), this falls under different laws though.

As long as it is one copy (or more if you bought more), it would be legal due to the simple fact it is one copy, it's your property and you can do with it what you want. If you make it into a PDF or anything else, it's NOT just one copy anymore and you are breaking copyright laws.

This makes no sense at all, is unrelated to the topic... It has nothing to do with the reason that it's against the law.

Even if it is impossible to prevent those things does NOT mean we should endorse and promote it.

You should realise that a writer doesn't earn alot as it is, most writers have plenty of reason to make a problem out of it due to them barely making enough to afford a living unless they have a one in a million success. Being a writer is a job like any other. If it was written by J.K. Rowling (to name an example) it would be a case of greed to make a problem out of it (it is still justified), if it's an average writer, then it's the same as a random person wanting his paycheck for the work he/she did, rather then just a part of it. You yourself would prefer to be payed 100% instead of just 60%, right?
If you still don't get it, then take it to PM with me (no need for this to grow into a full flame war).

No more discussion of copyright infringement, ok?
It's not happening.

The books are really cheap. I just ordered GoA and Edge from the book depository and they ship it world wide for free.
FYI, I'm willing to lend the books out to anyone in Israel, so long as I get them back. Message me if interested.

Ah, you may have ordered from the book depository, but I bet it actually comes from the grassy knoll.
